Epoxy can be coated over existing paints/coatings by simply making sure the existing coatings are cleaned, sanded, and bonded. All areas that are not bonded must be ground to remove loose coatings prior to epoxy application.

Depending on the climate, you should allow 12-24 hours of dry time prior to walking on and 24-48 hours before driving on. Total cure time is 6 days.

We follow the testing procedures administered by the American Society for Testing and Materials. In addition, we test for concrete PH, moisture, and slip resistant.

Wait time for new concrete to cure is 21 days and yes new floor preparation is required – New concrete must still have a rough profile and clean surface prior to coating.
